WALMART OR IHOP?

IHOP FIRST
My wife and I had some errands to run yesterday so we headed out early and decided to get some breakfast. I got a gift card for IHOP as a christmas gift so we decided to use it. I don't know about you all but in my experiences at IHOPs, they have some weird people working in them. My wife says they're "lifers", I guess like the military. She says it's a special breed to work in a restaurant that serves breakfast. I don't know, I just call them weirdos. But anyway, sure enough, our waitress was a weirdo. She seemed nice enough but she talked real loud and had a weird accent, she was "too" nice. The other waitress in our section was also a loud talker, I think they were competing with each other. So anyway, we're sitting there enjoying our coffee waiting on our breakfast plates and "bam", something smashes into the glass divider between our booth and the one beside us. It scared the hell out of us both. It was a child who decided to bang his fork on the glass as hard as he could. Did he stop? Nooooo! Did the parent tell him no? Nooooo! So he banged a few times and luckily the fork flew out of his hand. What happened next? He reached down and grabbed the spoon. Yep, unbelievable!! I'm not sure if it was just time for them to leave or the fact that my wife said, "are you kidding me?!" but they got up and left. It was like they were the only people in the restaurant.

WALMART NEXT
From there we headed to Walmart to pick up a few groceries and see if they had any christmas wrapping paper left for 75% off. We spent about an hour or so shopping and then headed to the registers. It wasn't too bad, it wasn't the first of the month or after dinner or anything like that. Everything was cool until it was our turn to pay. We became them, we had a ton of coupons to go with the groceries that we had. It was going fine until the cashier got to the ones that were BOGO. She then had to go back through the long ass receipt to find each item. Well inevitably the line was growing longer behind us and of course they were all getting antsy, like we all would. The one thing I can say though, is that the cashier never got flustered, never gave us an attitude and was very nice the whole time.
Another disappointing outing, who would have thought that the better experience would have been at Walmart. I have faith though, that's a rare thing, good experience at Walmart!
